Microsoft's patch Tuesday this week offered routine fixes for win-10 but also offered free upgrade to win-11.  I allowed the update to install.

If you decide to do the same thing just be aware it will take almost 6 hours to complete.  The download took more than 2 hours (about 5.5GB's with my internet speed of 12Mbs) and the rest of the time was used for installation and restarts.

The installation went great and the system works very well.  I allowed the upgrade because of the many improvements in the win-11 security system over win-10.

If you also accepted the upgrade let us know your results and opinions.

This is the reason I allowed Microsoft to upgrade my win-10 system to the win-11 system.  If you decide to install win-11 the site will analyize your current hardware and tell you if your computer will work using win-11 or it's best you keep win-10.

Windows 10 is a security disaster waiting to happen. How will Microsoft clean up its mess?

Microsoft: Windows 11 rollout is going so well, we're making it available to more PCs

But Microsoft has also blocked Windows 11 upgrades for PCs with an incompatible Intel driver.

Is my computer compatible with Windows 11?

To upgrade, your device must be running Windows 10, version 2004 or later. Requirements include a processor of 1GHz or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC). You'll need 4GB of RAM and 64GB or more of storage.

To verify your display resolution, open Settings > System and see the Display tab. The drop-down menu under Display Resolution will show a recommended resolution; as long as it's 1,280 by 720 pixels or higher, you're ready for Windows 11.
