Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:05/03/2023 1:26 PMCopy HTML Most of your passwords are stored as "Cookies" and ccleaner's has options that allow you to protect them. Open ccleaner and select "options". Then on left side select Cookies. Now look through the list of cookies on the left side and select any that are from the sites you visit that requires a password. Then move that cookie to the right side. That will prevent ccleaner from erasing them while still allowing ccleaner to erase all that remain on left side, and that's the way you want. Every once in a while (like weekly) check the cookie lists to make sure everything is the way you want it. ☺☺☺ I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago...

Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:05/03/2023 5:33 PMCopy HTML Thanks. I got all my accounts back except for Duke Energy. That one still won't accept my password. Any more ideas? ***Donna***

Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:05/04/2023 12:30 PMCopy HTML Try to use any option to tell the site you have forgotten your password and follow any directions they provide. If that fails just cancel your current account then start a new one with new user name and new password. ☺☺☺ I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago...

Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:05/04/2023 5:16 PMCopy HTML Well, I had to call Duke Energy & they said I was locked out so she gave me a new password and things are fine now. BUT it's not listed anywhere in ccleaner/options/cookies. So now I'm afraid to use ccleaner. ***Donna***

Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:05/06/2023 1:07 PMCopy HTML Well, do some simple checks to see if Duke uses cookies. First run ccleaner, now look at the cookie display and verify there are no cookies in the left pane. Next log into Duke, now check your cookie display. If Duke uses cookies it should be the only cookie in the left pane. If so, move it to the right pane, When you log into Duke do you see an option that says "Remember me" ? Some browsers have an option to remember password. Chrome, for example. I use SlimJet, which is a slim version of Chrome and it remembers my login name and password. ☺☺☺ I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago...

Re:CCLEANER Date Posted:09/11/2023 7:13 PMCopy HTML Wow, look what I found from my past. I used the info about the passwords, as I have that gripe about Ccleaner and the cookies too. Thank you and good to see you!!! |
