Re:Another question Date Posted:03/30/2017 3:15 PMCopy HTML Sharkky, it seems Mac's have an application named "GateKeeper" that you can disable but Apple warns users that this may compromise much of your systems security...but you can if you want to:
The Gatekeeper settings can be found in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. https://answers.uchicago.edu/page.php?id=25481 I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago...

Re:Another question Date Posted:03/31/2017 1:53 AMCopy HTML copying and pasting you can do sometimes on a Mac , sometimes not.
Like when I'm in QVC group if I want to send somebody a link to another thread within QVC can't do it. Then, on other sites, if I want to copy and paste you use 'copy' from on of the options up there on top and then U can paste it. Not consistent for some reason. If I want to copy something from the QVC site it just shows "community.com' not the actual thread. I have to go to the Windows laptop and copy and paste it from there to send to somebody who is waiting on it. Yeah, I'll leave the other alone. Sure has been nice though , not, to dread the 2nd Wed of every month and Microsoft's updates. That's been a huge relief. On the other 2 laptops that still has Windows 10, so far, so good. Oh yeah, one thing. On the new HP windows 10 red laptops (just bought hubby one so he can watch his ballgames and leave mine in peace) they won't let U put in AVG they MAKE you use Windows Defender they won't let you put in AVG. Now, I got it on my old HP Windows 10 red laptop, but, on the new pc's that I just bought him couple months ago they put the kibosh on AVG LOL Still gonna be their way ! LOL |

Re:Another question Date Posted:03/31/2017 9:43 AMCopy HTML You are right about that. I have forgotten all I know about Windows machines in the nearly 5 years I have had this Mac. I am glad.... I don't know how you can do both.... but hey good for you!

Re:Another question Date Posted:03/31/2017 1:55 PMCopy HTML Variety is the spice of life I guess. I paid tad over 1,000 for this Mac with the 3 yr protection plan, tech coming out to house and setting it up for me.
Paid 300 for hubbo his own laptop which of course I have to update because his highness doesn't want to learn can't take the time, don't you know. Ok, for the 'slave' girl to maintain 3 pc's, combo Mac and Windows, one kindle and one Acer tablet. No wonder I'm crazier then a poophouse rat Tried to put in a emoticon wouldn't let me, weird. something about not being a diamond community. this one will have to do hahahahahah |
