No, don't ignore them.  From the windows update you can view what each update will do.  .

Make you a list of what updates may be needed,  after that just google some from your list.  

Look here carefully to see what the updates will do for your system and will installing them give you another problem.

I have never missed a Windows update, they all worked.  ☺☺☺
