There's nothing wrong with dual booting, or using Windows for certain things. It all depends on what you are doing. Blu-Ray is still hard to do right in Linux without using Silicon Empire, which is not yet available in all distributions. In my opinion Windows 7 is a much better system so far as ease of use than Windows 8, which to me is clunky and seemingly tries to turn your computer into a giant smartphone.

I recently built a general purpose Linux computer (Intel Core i3 @ 3.3 GHz, 8 GB Corsair XMS DDR3) for a local businessman and he was so thrilled by its performance and security that he showed it to his friends and one of them has ordered an almost identical machine from me as well. More orders may follow yet. If they do I will build them as I get them...

Best wishes with your new computer -- if your old system was eight years old, it was getting to be time for a serious hardware upgrade anyway.

 DR. I have a problem I hope you can help me with. I just got a new computer, everything is working except, I download from "Pirate Bay". I am sure you are familiar with it. I cannot get it to work. I am at a loss, I have tried everything I can think of and googled everything I can think of.
  I used to download "Magnets", and they opened automatically in "Vuse". I have done everything I could remember but it is not enough. When I click on the Magnet in PB I get an error from Firefox saying "server not responding". I went through all this once before when PB started using Magnets but I think I had instructions that I cannot find now.
  BTW I did a clean install of 10.04.4. I tried 12.04 but I could not get it to work. If you have any Ideas I would really appreciate your input. In case you don't have it my email is "ewaynecollier@bellsouth.net".
